I am home for spring break. That means an entire week of free time and no distractions. Time to get.shit.done. Here's a comprehensive list of shit that needs doning.

1) Lock script for bumbus attonibus

Pre-spring break

Spring break 2012 get pumped. Everyone's left, but I'm still on campus in my dream factory, aka movie studio, aka closet in the film building. What could I possibly be doing? Making papier-mache blueberries for my movie. Here's a pic of them, pre-papier-mached.

Is everyone pumped for spring break so they can go home and see their dogs? I am. <3woogins<3

Screenplay and notes

So I've been working on my screenplay for bumbus attonibus. Right now it's about 5 pages long, which I'm going to assume translates to about 8 minutes of movie. I'd like it to end up being around 15 minutes long so I'm trying to expand parts of it that are a little unformed at this point. You can download the screenplay and then my own notes on it if you're at all interested in my thought process behind it.

Bee puppets

 In case you haven't been following I am making a movie about bees. And I decided it would be funnier to glue dead bees to strings than make bee puppets. Today I did just that. I felt kind of weird while I was doing it, like some kind of serial killer in their youth. I think they turned out good though, we'll see if they actually stay attached to the strings.

Yeah you can't really tell but those are real bees glued to peices of floss. 

There's some more. I made 12 all together. I think they'll be dry and ready to go by tomorrow.

More products

It just occured to me that I never posted about Hans. Hans was the name I gave my venus fly trap that I ordered from amazon. He got here 2 weeks ago. There were a few problems with him, first he was mad small, and second he was in poor health. Unfortunately the tiny bitch died over the last week. All his heads have turned brown and shrivelled up. So I don't think he will be starring in the movie. But I have back up plans, and there will definitely still be a venus fly trap in the movie. R.I.P. hans. Below are some more production stills.

hey. so here are some really EXCITING production stills from the first day of this movie thing i'm making. check dis shit out. I was thinking about possibly including "production stills" as an award on my kickstarter. but i can't imagine anyone would want copies of these.

So this is a sign i made for my production table. It's funny because no one has a key to this room besides me. and underneath that is all this grass and pine needles I collected from the outside to line the fake flower field with. 

This is from when i was cutting all the fake flower branches up and listening to mariah carey.

Today I went to buy props for bumbus attonibus. I bought 80% of the props at the dollar store. check out all the fake flowers I got.

I'm going to start making the sets and stuff when I get back this week. Right now I'm at home because I needed to shoot more of my abandoned landscapes documentary. Also, because I needed to pick up some dead bees. The ones I ordered online were way too small and dried out. So tonight I'm going to see my mom's beekeeper friend, he's donating 12 dead honey bees to the film. I'm excited.
